NORTHEAST WISCONSIN PAGAN NETWORK, INC. BYLAWS AND GUIDELINES
- Statement of
Purpose
- Our Purposes are:
- To provide a safe forum for pagan practioners of all paths throughout Northeast Wisconsin and its surrounding areas
- To explore and allow the practice of various pagan beliefs
- To educate the public on paganism and its practices
- To foster tolerance, acceptance and understanding within the Northeast Wisconsin community
- Our Purposes are:
- Membership
- Any person, pagan or pagan curious, who attends the functions of the Northeast Wisconsin Pagan Network, Inc with an open mind is considered a member of the group.
- Membership is
only denied based on personal conduct and is not based on gender,
race, ethnic background, sexual preference, disability or age.
- Improper Conduct includes but is not limited to the following: proselytizing of any faith, intentionally hurtful behavior or comments, destruction of personal property and physical, mental or emotional abuse of other members.
- All members of the Northeast Wisconsin Pagan Network, Inc are required to abide by all state and local laws and ordinances. This includes but is not limited to: the use of drug and alcohol products, weapons, curfew for minors, discriminations, lewd and obnoxious behavior.
- Administration and
Operation
- The Board of
Directors handles matters of the organization
- The Board of Directors includes incorporators and those individuals voted into certain offices within the organization
- Scope: Matters
covered are:
- Finances and budget
- Legal matters
- Planning of large activities and festivals
- Public Relations
- Advertising
- Election of new officials
- Miscellaneous as it presents itself
- Facilitation: meetings are held at the Northeast Wisconsin Pagan Network, Inc. office
- Operation: All Board decisions are made by consensus. When a consensus cannot be reached, majority will rule decisions.
- Meetings: The Board shall meet at least bimonthly.
- Compensation: Members of the board are not compensated for their time, these are volunteer positions.

- Meeting Schedule
- Rituals
- Rituals can be suggested or facilitated by any member of the Northeast Wisconsin Pagan Network, Inc.
- Sabbats shall be held as close to their actual date as possible.
- All rituals shall be scheduled at least a month in advance.
- Classes
- Any member can suggest a topic for a class and location to have such classes at.
- Any fees charged for the classes are to be noted in any class descriptions and are only allowed to cover the following things: site fees, supply fees and charges for the time of the individual giving the class.

- Ritual and Meeting
Behaviors
- Clothing: All
clothing for rituals must be appropriate. Rituals are sacred events
enclosed in a sacred space. Inappropriate dress will not be
tolerated and will result in the individual not being allowed to
participate. Inappropriate dress is, but not limited to:
- Drug or Alcohol slogans on person
- Torn or excessively dirty clothing
- Substance abuse: no person shall be allowed to participate in any activity while under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs.
- Minors: Minors will only be allowed to participate in activities of the Northeast Wisconsin Pagan Network, Inc, regardless of attendance of guardian, once a signed permission slip is on file with parental or guardian signature.
- Any discriminatory language, behavior and clothing are grounds for immediate expulsion from the organization.
- Clothing: All
clothing for rituals must be appropriate. Rituals are sacred events
enclosed in a sacred space. Inappropriate dress will not be
tolerated and will result in the individual not being allowed to
participate. Inappropriate dress is, but not limited to:
- Finances
- Organizational finances shall include donations, profits from fundraising and interest earned on bank accounts.
- Budget shall be established and disbursements approved by the Board of Directors.
- Any and all funds received will be placed into the organization's banking account.
- Budget is available for public viewing, as are a listing of financial transactions.
- All participants are responsible for their own finances and transportation for Northeast Wisconsin Pagan Network, Inc events.
- The Northeast Wisconsin Pagan Network, Inc is Non-Stock corporation and all funds go towards the function of the organization.
- Privacy of Members
- The names, addresses, telephone number and all other information relations to individual members shall be considered confidential and may not be disclosed without express written permission of the individual involved.
- Disclosure of confidential information may, at the discretion of the Board, be considered grounds for expulsion of membership.
- Revising the
Bylaws and Guidelines
- Any part of these Bylaws may be amended by the consensus of the Board of Directors at any time.
